Until last Thursday (September 28th, 2016), Apple kept secret keyword Search Volume. However, with the recent introduction of Search Ads, Apple has started to offer Search Popularity for any English keyword.
Search Popularity is a relative indicator of a keyword’s popularity in App Store searches. It is very helpful in order to make an effective keywords selection as it tells which keywords might be the most important to target.
This data has been awaited since a long (long) time by any App Store player. It is not only helpful for Search Ads keywords, it is also insightful in terms of App Store Optimization (ASO). Indeed, keywords optimization is one of the main challenges in ASO as it implies to find relevant, low-competition but also popular keywords.
Good news for you: this precious indicator has already been integrated to AppTweak Keyword Tool and it is now 100% available for all English keywords. This indicator is provided for single keywords but also for combined and long-tail keywords.
Note: We should expect from Apple to provide Search Popularity for other languages in the coming future… Be sure that AppTweak data will follow accordingly! Until then, the Volume for other languages is still relying on our own formula.
