Version 2.0.0 released on November 30, 2017
This is a major new release of Corkscrew with a host of great new features! COMPLETELY REDESIGNED DISH SELECTION Now you can find your dish more quickly and easily. See wine recommendations in real-time as you drill down through our new dish categories. You can even build your own dish by selecting custom ingredients, sauces and cooking methods to get perfect wine recommendations. NEW AND IMPROVED RECOMMENDATION ENGINE Previously, wines were only recommended based on compatibility with your food. But no one wants to drink a bad Rioja just because it goes well with their steak. Now we take into account a wealth of information to recommend the perfect wine: critics ratings, vintage ratings, value for money and new winery ratings from the fabulous Wine By The Label guide. And of course, we still take into account food compatibility as an important factor in making the right recommendation. ENHANCED RECOMMENDATION PAGE In our last release, we added descriptions and pairing notes for most wines. We also reorganized the wine recommendations so you always see 10 wines of different types, but can drill down to see more of a particular type. Now we've added new badges so you can see the winery rating and value for money for each wine (when available). GREAT NEW WINE REVIEW EXPERIENCE WITH FACEBOOK SHARING We now remind you to review the wines that you tried, both when you start the app and via push notification. And we've added Facebook sharing so you can tell your friends all about your latest wine experience.
Version 1.2.0 released on July 26, 2017
* Added descriptions and pairing notes for most wine styles so you know why a wine was recommended * Broader range of wine recommendations. Previously the app might recommend e.g. 10 types of Champagne, whereas now it will recommend 10 different wine styles, giving you a much broader range to choose from. If you are interested in a particular style of wine, you can drill down to see more of that type (e.g. more Champagne options).
Version 1.1.7 released on May 24, 2017
* Push notifications * Various small fixes and improvements

With Corkscrew, the "sommelier in your pocket", you can always pick the perfect wine when dining out. You may know the feeling of staring helplessly at a wine list without a clear idea of which wine you should choose to go with your meal. Choosing wine in a restaurant can be a frustrating experience. As a result, many of us plump for the second cheapest wine, which is invariably a bad choice. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an app that took the uncertainty out of picking wine in a restaurant and helped you to make the perfect personalized choice every time? Just enter the dish or dishes you are eating, and Corkscrew recommends the perfect wine. We load the wine lists into our database so we only recommend wines that are actually available in the restaurant. We also include other useful information like value for money and critics' score. Corkscrew currently offers wine lists for several hundred London restaurants.
