Version 4.0.5 released on May 31, 2018
This version contains some minor behind-the-scenes improvements to the app experience and reliability of breaking news notifications, but we’re still hard at work implementing new features and fixing bugs to optimize the experience for you. Our future plans include updates to the live radio experience to make listening to multiple station streams easier, adding back the 3D Touch feature to listen to newscasts and of course, search. We’ll have those available in the app for you as soon as we can. To all of our loyal users who loved the playlist, are frustrated at its removal and took the time to provide us with feedback about the new NPR app experience, we have heard you and we appreciate you sharing this feedback. We understand that being able to control your and self-curate your content is a key part of the listening experience. An explanation about how we arrived at this difficult decision, along with more about our future plans, can be found on our Help Page at https://help.npr.org under the NPR App section. If you haven’t already, please feel encouraged to share your feedback with us here: https://n.pr/ContactNPRApp. We read every message and will be considering the information shared by users as we evaluate future enhancements.
