These are local stories, locally reported and delivered just for you. Find your Home Station Page by tapping on News & Stories under your station's logo in the new menu. From there you'll be able to dive into the most important stories and featured podcasts from your station and your community. • Shows. Explore the shows and podcasts that represent the stories and voices from your community. See a showcase of recommended podcasts from your station listed first and then tap More to dive into every show your station produces. • News and Stories. Listen to the stories that are meaningful to your community. Your station will curate the most important stories you see right at the top of the list. Tap on More to see all of the most important news and stories from your station. • Newscast. Catch up to the latest newscast from your station (when available) by tapping the play button on Local Newscast. • Live Radio. Tune into your station's live radio stream by tapping on Live Radio. NPR One will take you to right to the live stream in your browser. Just tap play and you'll soon start listening to live radio. Community is everything. Connect with your Home Station today. Just swipe to the left to find the newscast whenever you want it, the latest episodes of podcasts that you follow, recommended stories based on your listening history, your recently played and upcoming stories, and a gallery of recommended shows to help you discover new local and national podcasts. • Listen and Explore. The new listening paths in Explore are just a swipe away. Your History and Coming Up now live in one place within Explore (now called 'Recently Heard' and 'Up Next'). • Followed. No more waiting to hear the latest episodes of the shows and podcasts that you Follow! Instead, you can now find the latest episodes under the 'Followed' section in Explore. • Newscasts. Catch up to the latest national and local (when available) newscasts by swiping over to Explore and tapping on Hourly Newscast or Local Newscast. • Featured Shows. NPR One includes podcasts from NPR, the greater public radio ecosystem, and a curated selection of independent producers from all over the world. See a showcase of a recommended podcasts in the new 'Featured Shows' section in Explore. We'll recommend new shows and podcasts over time as you listen. • Search. Haven't Followed any shows yet? Introducing support for CarPlay. Listen to NPR One in vehicles that have support for CarPlay as part of the in-dash entertainment system, or with CarPlay-enabled aftermarket systems. Once you have connected NPR One to CarPlay you can tap on Catch Up to get started with your National and Local newscast followed by your recommended stories; Or simply tap on Recommendations to scroll through curated listed of stories and podcast episodes just for you. This update also brings a fix to a bug that would unexpectedly start playing NPR One overnight. Sorry about that! Together with this bug fix, we have also turned off auto-play when you launch the app, so you'll never accidentally blast "This is NPR One!" in a quiet meeting room again... not that we would know anything about that.
