What is your experience in ASO and what led you to pursue ASO as a profession?

At Supersolid, I started off as a UA lead I transitioned into ASO as it was natural to have one team take care of the whole conversion cycle.

What need or problem motivated you to search for a solution like AppTweak and how does our tool answer to it?

The need to improve not only our organic installs but also are overall conversion of pageview to install. We wanted to see keywords it makes sense to rank for in terms of volume, competition, as well as relevance. Other tools such as the Apple Search Ads Intelligence dashboard helped us see which apps were focusing on which keywords.

What advice would you give to someone just starting with ASO? What should they keep in mind? Where should they start?

They should start in looking at if they are trying to rank for the right keywords, and if their icon and screenshots properly convey the game to the audience that would be most interested in their game.

Can you give us an example of a major ASO decision you made and how it impacted your business?

Completely changing the App Store and Play Store creatives of one of our games, adapting our game page to a different audience than initially, an audience we realized it made sense to focus on due the information we got from the keyword data. Conversion rates and installs increased dramatically.

What is the biggest ASO challenge you’d like to overcome in the coming months? How are you going to attack it?

Changing the store icon and game icon completely of a game that’s been out for 3 years and not impacting the retention, especially that of the older audience.
