Challenge

Kiddopia’s store listing was in good shape. The Kiddopia Kids Learning App was well optimized, and a steady calendar of in-app events kept it visible on the App Store. Metadata updates and A/B tests were already part of the team’s work, but happened at a low frequency.

Kiddopia’s ASO team, working closely with UA, looked for a more structured and proactive approach to app growth. That meant identifying new keyword opportunities, planning A/B tests, and regularly benchmarking performance against competitors. With organic installs and conversion rate as its core goals, the team wanted to turn a mostly static listing into one it actively tested and refined.

Solution

In early 2026, Kiddopia moved to AppTweak’s Enterprise plan, giving the team advanced competitor, benchmarking, and market data to make this shift a success.

Competitors and creatives

To decide where to focus its experiments, the team first looked at what competitors were testing. Using Timeline and CPP Explorer, they reviewed months of competitor A/B tests, screenshot updates, and custom product pages to identify the design patterns others were trying and which ones worked. This research fed Kiddopia’s own screenshot and icon A/B tests, as well as its custom product pages.

Keyword research and optimization

App store keyword data guided the metadata work: optimizing titles and subtitles, expanding long-tail coverage, and adjusting as rankings shifted. The team localized metadata by finding relevant keywords in each market, and updated its keyword field around seasonal moments such as Halloween. Regular audits with AppTweak’s ASO Agent uncovered further optimization opportunities, which the team weighed against its own experience to decide what to change in its metadata next.

Mobile market intelligence

To benchmark Kiddopia’s performance against competitors and the wider market, the team used AppTweak’s Market Intelligence, including App and Publisher Overviews. With a clear view of how competing apps and publishers were performing, the team could make better-informed decisions about its growth strategy for each market.

Results

Within one year of active metadata updates and testing, Kiddopia’s already strong search conversion rate improved by a further 36%. Keyword work paid off in rankings too: the app climbed from #5 to #1 for its priority keyword, “learning games for kids,” in the US. Backed by a year-round in-app event calendar, Kiddopia was also featured regularly on the App Store, including as App of the Day in the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

Beyond the numbers, testing is now a core part of how the team works. With ASO, competitor, and market data in one place, Kiddopia’s growth workflow is more data-driven, structured, and efficient. The team can prioritize keywords more clearly, track competitors and market trends, validate decisions with greater confidence, and identify opportunities faster. ASO, UA, and creative teams also work from a common set of insights, enabling faster iterations and more informed planning.

What’s next

The Kiddopia team will continue strengthening its ASO strategy through ongoing optimization, expansion into new markets, and close alignment between ASO and paid UA. It is also looking forward to exploring AppTweak’s upcoming features and new ways they can support its growth.
