Version 3.8.0 released on February 13, 2017
You know how sometimes your car is making a funny noise so you take it into the mechanic and you find out that it needs $2,300 worth of work including new timing belts and hoses and something something brake calipers and struts, and when you get the car back after two days you can't tell if anything is different. Yeah? Well that's basically what this release is all about. We did a big Xcode 8/Swift conversion (timing belts), moved a bunch of code from APIv2 to APIv3 (hoses) and fixed some bugs (brake calipers) and crashes (struts). To be honest, you're probably not going to notice anything different, but trust us -- there's some shiny new stuff under the hood that's going to make things run smoother for the next 100,000 miles.
Version 3.8.1 released on February 15, 2017
Release 3.8.1 Fixes an issue that caused crashes in iOS 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2, for those vintage operating system afficionados among us who swear that vinyl sounds better. Also contains all the speed improvements from our previous release, so please keep your limbs inside the ride at all times. Release 3.8.0 You know how sometimes your car is making a funny noise so you take it into the mechanic and you find out that it needs $2,300 worth of work including new timing belts and hoses and something something brake calipers and struts, and when you get the car back after two days you can't tell if anything is different. - You can no longer invite family members to join TeamSnap before the main player has accepted their invitation, thus avoiding the software equivalent of Uncle Merv showing up early to a party and standing around awkwardly by the buffet table. - We've removed friction from sending invites to family members, the friction being "pointless confirmation messages that scared people into not doing it." - Pull-to-refresh now actually refreshes, rather than simply being pull-for-the-sake-of-pulling. - Adding your gender in the Spanish or French version no longer causes errors. Still, you should have paid more attention in Ms. Bonito's Spanish class in 7th grade. - Putting two email addresses in one email field is now handled with an almost transcendent level of grace. - Players with unknown availability are still mysterious, but at least their sort order isn't. - Changed some verbiage. A future update will change some nouniage. - To paraphrase Toni Braxton, we unbroke some stuff.
Version 3.6.0 released on August 31, 2016
- There is now a tasty orange indicator next to unread alerts. Never miss an important message AND prevent scurvy. - When you receive an email sent via TeamSnap it now appears in your Messages inbox. It seriously took us seven years to think of this. The original programmer was actually an otter wearing a trucker hat who had everyone fooled for 18 months. - You can now set email and mobile notification preferences inside the app, which is exactly where you'd want to set them. Outside the app there isn't even anything to tap on. - Somehow the checkboxes to select email recipients had vanished. We suspect a ring of international checkbox thieves. The checkboxes have been safely recovered and restored. - URLs in the emails section stopped being clickable. I mean, you could click on them ... it's just that nothing would happen. Technically everything is clickable when viewed through this lens. - URLs in TeamSnap Live sometimes had awkward spacing, much like a jr. high school dance. This bug has been chaperoned. - Occasionally, loading TeamSnap Live for the first time would result in a never-ending spinner, which sounds like a less-popular sequel to The NeverEnding Story. - Tapping on a notification would, on rare occasion, result in an authorization and connection error. Such notifications have been sent down to the minor leagues for "seasoning." - Speed and performance improvements. This basically describes Sandra Bullock's career arc.
