AppTweak Raises $500k to Grow its ASO Services

It has now officially been announced by yesterday, Wednesday 4th of November 2015: we’ve closed our second round of funding this year, scoring $500,000 from Belgian group network Be Angels including a group of investors operated by the international investment platform Go Beyond, and Belgian media group Rossel. The additional funding will allow the development of new features including our own API, sales and dev team expansion and the implementation of more languages. More details below.

New App Store Intelligence Features

Through its ASO platform and services, AppTweak empowers indies and small to medium-size app studio and app marketers to gain visibility in the store. By providing both powerful and easy-to-use weapons to build, optimize and iterate their ASO strategy, we seek to help our customers to compete with the dominant app store players.

Along with this intention, our development team works hard to provide with the most convenient features possible that will make the whole ASO work much easier and time-saving.

Two months ago, we were introducing your new personal apps dashboard, allowing to manage both your mobile apps and your competitors, and have a quick overview of your market’s performance. Back in July, we were presenting our competitors analysis features, as competition monitoring is essential in any app marketing strategy.

With this funding, we will focus on improving User Experience in order to stay the easiest ASO platform to use on the market. By providing data through a single-page report with tailored, actionable and personalized recommendations, AppTweak facilitates the lecture and the comprehension for its users and stand out from other ASO tools that can be overwhelming.

The new funding will also allow us to develop new App Store Intelligence features such and revenues and downloads estimations for all apps (Apple and Google app stores). We’ll also work on improving our Keyword Tool, especially our Search Volume and Competition estimations, by adjusting our algorithms with new equations after numerous observations, tests and iterations.

New Languages on Keyword Tool

Our second main mission is to help app developers and marketers go global in their ASO and app marketing strategy. App localization is indeed highly important and we want to take advantage from our European position (we’re Belgians!) to focus on European languages at first.

To provide keywords, Search Volume and Competition estimations in multiple languages, we actually use our own and unique technique that doesn’t use Google translation but rather accurate dictionaries with native words for each language.

We will therefore add more languages to the dictionaries behind our Keyword Tool algorithms. Currently, we’re already dealing with 6 different languages: English, French, Dutch, Spanish, German and Portuguese.

In order to to maintain our European leader position, we will pursue our efforts regarding the languages. Italian, Hungarian, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian and Greek are next on the agenda.


Yes, we’ve been quite secret about this major development… but it’s now time to unveil our brand new API:

AppTweak’s API targets app developers, app marketers and app market analysts to access to more than 3 million apps from both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Our API provides app metadata (app name, description, icon, video, screenshots, publisher) in 60 countries and 6 languages but also Top 1500 apps on Apple App Store and Top 500 app on Google Play Store for each category.

All reviews and ratings can also be accessed for any apps with their average and detailed spread. Search ranking results for any keyword and 30 days app rankings history are also part of this API.
